The rotation of ballot position in different precincts for an equal number of times is an antiquated system that insinuates that voters are stupid.
Because there are more ballot titles, the computer is more difficult and expensive to program, the possibility for error increases and the detection of fraud becomes overwhelming.
Voter response is double, the cost of the election is 15% less; and, of course, the cost per vote cast is way down.
SINGLE TRANSFERABLE VOTE
The Single Transferable Vote (STV) is a preferential voting system designed to minimize wasted votes and provide proportional representation in multi-candidate elections while ensuring that votes are explicitly for candidates rather than party lists. STV voting systems achieve this by initially allocating an individual's vote to their most preferred candidate and then subsequently transferring unneeded or unused votes after candidates are either elected or eliminated according to the voter's stated preferences.
When promoted as a proportional representation method in multi-party multi-seat elections, STV methods are generally known as Proportional Representation through the Single Transferable Vote (PR-STV). When STV methods are applied to single-seat elections, they simplify to instant-runoff voting and have different proportionality implications for a similar ballot due to the existence of only one winner.
ABOLISH PARTISAN POLITICS
Then, only people who can think for themselves will vote and campaign for elective office. As it is now, candidates know that by declaring themselves a member of a political party, they will assure themselves a certain amount of contributions and a certain number of votes. The two party system has been compromising our freedom, liberty, trust, quality of life, family values, intellectual property, competitiveness and sovereignty. The sheep ignore the fact that both major political parties voted for NAFTA and GATT.
